Built for the anglers searching for a super-light high performance finesse spinning reel, say hello to the lightest Daiwa spinning reel ever created – the Daiwa Luvias Airity LT Reel. Combining the heritage of Airity with the modern function of Luvias, a new standard of lightweight spinning reel is born.

To produce the lightest reel, it all starts with Monocoque body technology. A light reel without any strength is useless, and MQ body technology solves both those issues. Luvias Airity’s Magnesium frame has been treated for saltwater use and gives the reel ultimate lightness and rigidity.

A large diameter Aluminium machine cut Tough Digigear is housed inside the MQ body and delivers smooth and powerful reeling performance alongside 11 internal CRBB bearings that only enhance this performance more.

Outfitting the top of the reel is Daiwa’s Zaion Air Rotor, a lightweight low inertia rotor design which works with the gearing to produce effortless rotation. A single-piece seamless Airbail finishes off the rotor design.

A waterproof ATD Drag is installed inside the super lightweight spool design incorporating the new Longcast ABS (LC ABS) lip means your casts will fly further and sticky drags a thing of the past.

Features:

• Monocoque Body - A symmetrical, one-piece frame utilising an engine plate with the gears embedded within the frame. This adds rigidity to the reel, reducing flex and twist under load, and creates a sealed mechanism. The elimination of a conventional side plate also allows for a larger main gear to be used, which significantly improves reel power, torque and longevity.
• Tough Digigear - A further evolution of its predecessor Digigear, Tough Digigear is our digitally designed gearing system that ensures ultimate gear precision, rotational smoothness, and strength.
• Magnesium Body - Reels featuring a magnesium body are significantly lighter than conventional alloy bodied reels. Daiwa’s magnesium, Air Metal, technology processes the magnesium in a unique way that results in full corrosion resistance.
• LC-ABS (Long-Cast ABS) - Compared to conventional spools, the LC-ABS has been shown to increase the average flight distance by approx. 5% due to its reduced weight and modified shape.
• Air Rotor - Lighter, stronger and more balanced than any rotor system that’s come before, ‘Air Rotor’ delivers a great leap forward in rotor design and function and delivers the ultimate line roller support. Made from Zaion and featuring a redesigned arch that disperses pressure to the lower section of the rotor to reduce stressing and flexing, the design is further enhanced with a hollowed out construction reducing weight, while increasing reel sensitivity and rotational balance.
• ATD Drag - Daiwa’s Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.
• CRBB - Lasting 12 times longer than standard stainless steel bearings Daiwa’s CRBBs feature specially treated stainless steel, and a protective shield on the bearing race that seals out sand, fine grit, salt crystals and other abrasives. The result is a longer lasting bearing that’s protected from the corrosive elements that destroy traditional bearings.
• Magsealed Body - Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel’s rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water, and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.
• Infinite Anti Reverse - Daiwa’s advanced system that limits rearward back play handle movement to almost zero for solid hook sets with less shock to the reel. The result is the elimination of handle slap-back and the unwanted release of line.
• Perfect Line Stopper - Our new larger rectangular flexible clip that can be used from all line angles and from light to heavy lines.
• Air Bail - Daiwa’s innovative bail design features a hollow tubular stainless steel bail that delivers maximum rigidity and strength with minimum weight. Featuring a smooth protrusion-free design and construction line easily slides unencumbered along the Air Bail towards the line roller for trouble free line control.
