Daiwa 21 Zillion SV TW 100H Baitcast Reel

The brand-new Daiwa 21 Zillion SV TW Baitcast Reel is the first total redesign of Zillion in many years. The heart of it all is a brand-new Hyperdrive design technology. A concept incorporating multiple aspects of reel design to deliver a baitcast reel with few peers.

Hyperdrive Digigear is the next evolution of baitcast gear design, taking Daiwa’s Digigear concept to the next level to produce a smoother and stronger reeling sensation with a significant 60% improvement to gear durability.

Hyper Double Support improves the support of the pinion gear. This support in turn helps to extend gear life and increase winding power under load.

Hyper Tough Clutch is a redeveloped thumb bar design which is more durable and stronger than previous variations.

Hyper Armed Housing is the use of Magnesium or Aluminium frame and gear side plate design which holds everything in perfect alignment.

Zillion’s other brand-new feature is an evolution of Daiwa’s SV Concept. SV Boost is a brand-new two-stage SV concept design that significantly increases casting distance in the latter part of the casting sequence. Zillion’s two-stage SV Boost design delivers the precise amount of breaking resistance at each stage of the cast, allowing the angler to perfectly account for varying scenarios they may face when on the water. SV Boost will have anglers experiencing effortless long-casting performance and the SV Concept will mean that Zillion is as versatile as ever.

• Magforce Z Cast Control: The next generation of Daiwa’s magnetic anti-backlash system like Magforce V before it combines the best aspects of modern magnetic and centrifugal breaking, albeit with some slight differences. Unlike Magforce V magnetic braking is only applied at maximum spool speed, as a result it allows the spool to reach a higher peak speed and allows it to spin for longer. Magforce Z is considered to be best suited to longer casting pursuits and heavier weights.
• SV Boost:  SV BOOST is a brand-new two-stage SV concept design which significantly increases casting distance in the latter part of the casting sequence. • G1 Spool:  Lighter and faster than traditional spools a G1 duraluminium spool allows for faster spool start-up and slowdown, and improved rotational balance.
• Speed Shaft: Unlike some baitcaster spools that has the spool supported by the pinion gear and drive shaft, Speed Shaft is solely supported by bearings. This allows for friction free spool rotation and optimum casting performance.
• TWS:  Daiwa’s revolutionary T-Wing System addresses the issue of traditional line guide/level wind systems constricting line flow by delivering a T-shaped line guide that is larger, wider and less restrictive. TWS allows line to exit freely from the spool with minimal line angle, minimal friction and constriction, thereby reducing line noise and backlash, and delivering more accurate and longer casts.
• U.T. Drag: A system that combines ultra smooth low inertia with ultimate fish stopping power. UTD combines advanced carbon washers, alloy and stainless steel drag plates with specially designed grease for ultra-smooth performance.
• Hyperdrive Design: this consists of four of the key pillars: Hyper Armed Housing, Hyper Tough Clutch, Hyper Double Support & Hyperdrive Digigear.

• CRBB (Corrosion Resistant Ball Bearings): Lasting 12 times longer than standard stainless steel bearings Daiwa's CRBBs feature specially treated stainless steel, and a protective shield on the bearing race that seals out sand, fine grit, salt crystals and other abrasives. The result is a longer lasting bearing that's protected from the corrosive elements that destroy traditional bearings.
• Zero Adjuster: Thanks to the revolutionary SV-Concept, it is no longer necessary to adjust the Mechanical Spool Brake Knob when casting. Perfect Zero Adjuster setting is when the spool shaft is held without side to side spool play. Appropriate brake power adjustment is now fully manageable with only the use of the Magnetic dial.
• Aluminium Body: Lightweight and incredibly strong, aluminium allows strength and weightless to be achieved without the cost and corrosion issues of other metals such as magnesium.
• Clicking Drag: A drag system that produces a clicking sound when a fish runs and takes drag.
