Fishing Report

John took Chris from Black Magic out for a Squid fishing session earlier in the week for a nice catch before work. They got a few smaller ones for a feed and Chris managed a small Kraken.

John also fished off Jibbon on Monday drifting for Flathead and smashed 11 fish in about half an hour before calling it. The Gallop Assist Slow Fall Jig was the weapon of choice, landing two at once on multiple occasions!

Damo from Reef Magic Charters headed out early Thursday morning and was into the Kingfish before 9am.

Botany Bay is thriving with Kings at the moment. If you can grab a spot off Molineux Point you’re in for a very fun session!

Port Hacking has seen the return of some very large Trevally, both bait and lures are working well.

The FADs are in and the warm water hasn’t yet come through but there have been Striped Marlin and Dolphinfish encountered with waters averaging over the 21ºC.

Slimies are thick pretty much everywhere at the moment.

Some Kingfish have been caught recently using the Gallop Assist Long Cast Jigs down the coast.

Josh Robbins has been doing well with Bass, catching them on the Hata Craw soft plastics rigged weedless.
