Fishing Report
Yellowfin Tuna have been spotted in schools between 350-800 fathoms in between Wollongong and Kiama. Dolphinfish are also around the same areas.
Tiger Sharks have been moving into warmer waters. Mako and Blue Sharks are the opposite and are moving into colder waters.
Reports of several Striped Marlin being hooked recently.
Ross Kramer is pictured with a very solid 110cm Jewfish he caught and released down south a couple of days ago.
Minnamurra is still producing some excellent flathead. Mitch is pictured with two of the 4 he caught using the Jackson Prism Lure that was featured in last weeks newsletter.
Shane Ackerman (pictured above) speared a huge 20kg, 137cm Kingfish down south after a few months absent from the spearfishing scene.
Salmon have been caught around the Port Kembla area on metals.
Ian fished Lake Illawarra yesterday morning for a mixed bag of Bream, Tailor and Whiting. The Whiting were caught in the shallows on the new Squidgies Bio Tough Grubs and the Bream on the Pygmy Pencil Lure.
Sydney Harbour has been fishing well for Kingfish. They’ve been hanging out around the channel markers and buoys and also near some of the piers.
Taren Point customer Rhys caught his first Australian Salmon from his Kayak in Sydney Harbour over the weekend using a Samaki Boom Bait Soft Plastic on 4lb braid, nice mate!
John and Josh went out for a session on the Port Hacking River a couple of days ago with some great success. Early morning Kings were smashing the Risk Bait and RA Pop Lures on the surface. They also caught some great Whiting on the Jackson Daniel 3g Lures, and Trevally using the Tiny Squid Soft Plastics.
Botany Bay fished well over the weekend with good catches of Trevally, Bream, Flathead, Snapper and Kingfish caught.
